Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services, Inc. (Gulf Coast JFCS) is a non-faith-based, secular, not-for-profit, serving individuals and families across the state of Florida. In 1960, the agency began providing counseling and family support services to the Jewish community in Pinellas County. The agency incorporated on July 2, 1974, and began to expand and diversify its array of services offered to the broader community, largely through public funding. Services are derived from Jewish values, among them being tikkun olam (repair the word), kehillah (community), tzedakah (responsibility/justice), chesed (compassion and caring) and hakhnasat orhim (welcome the stranger). These values play a strong role as we seek to address the unmet needs of Florida families.
